DescriptionIn June 2026, the Russian Ministry of Digitization announced the possibility for Russian website owners to promptly and free of charge obtain domestic TLS certificates of DV (domain verification) and OV (organization verification) types via Gosuservices in case of revocation of international ones. At the moment, the program does not include the issuance of the most secure EV certificates (with extended company verification), which are critically needed by large banks and marketplaces. The bet will be on whether the Ministry of Finance will expand the list of available types and announce the start of issuing Russian EV certificates on the portal during July.
ConditionsYes: if in the period from July 1 to July 31, 2026 the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation or the Government of the Russian Federation will officially announce the launch of issuance of TLS certificates of the EV (Extended Validation) type on the Gosusluzhby portal.No: if in the period from July 1 to July 31, 2026 the list of Russian certificates issued through Gosusluzhby will remain the same (only DV and OV types).
